In my very first article published just a few days ago, I showed you all a picture of three of the dearest people to me. We had just finished selecting our festive fall pumpkins from the local Farm. The photograph was taken as we were walking to the check-out booth to pay for our pumpkins.

Would you like to know my favorite part about the pumpkin patch adventure? Foraging. At the periphery of the patch, quite a distance from the pumpkin rows, I spotted a series of gorgeous yellow blooms. Goldenrod. She grows mostly on the sides of the road, in forests not populated and in the periphery of small Farms. I clipped a handful for myself. When I presented the bunch at check-out, the Farmer was so impressed that I recognized her beautiful girl, that she let me have the bunch for Free.

Now I have a tincture and I have a tea.

Aquaretic, Astringent, Anti-Inflammatory and Vulnery. These are all medicinal properties of a plant that grows in the forgotten periphery of a forest. Now I have her at the ready in my medicine cabinet for the next year.

Learn to Forage. A nice App to help is PictureThis. Remember to cross reference this app with at least one other source.
